Difference between posts and pages in WordPress:

What are Posts
Posts are the pieces of content which are, in normal settings, displayed date wise in the reverse chronological order. Posts can be classified on the basis of categories and Tags and can be seen in different orders accordingly. Posts are the basic tool for a live and developing blog.
What are Pages
Pages are also pieces of content, but they are not bound with dates and need not to be displayed in a particular order on your blog. Pages are purpose specific and stand alone in nature. Some examples of pages are the About Me Page, The Index Page, The Contact Page etc.
Differences between Posts and Pages:
