What are Prepositions

Prepositions are those words, which show the relationship of Nouns (or Pronouns) with the other words in the sentence. Prepositions are used before Nouns (or Pronouns) in the sentence.

In

‘In’ is used to refer to something, which is inside something. In is used for referring to something which is inside (Place, Area, Container) of something. In is used to show the arrangement of something. In is used to refer to the duration of time.

Examples

I live in Gurgaon.
Don’t put your hands in your pockets.
The match will be played in Delhi.
How much you have in your purse?
He was swimming in the lake.
Boys and girls were standing in different lines.
He will come at seven in the evening.
The temperature falls below zero in December month.
I loved watching Tom & Jerry in my childhood.
We will go to Leh in September this year.
