What are Prepositions

Prepositions are those words, which show the relationship of Nouns (or Pronouns) with the other words in the sentence. Prepositions are used before Nouns (or Pronouns) in the sentence.

Beside

Beside is used to refer to the position of an object just next to another object. Beside is also used to compare an object with another. Beside is also used when an object is not related at all with the object in question.

Examples:

He was sitting beside me in the train.
The trees are planted beside the road.
I felt very nervous when she sat beside me.
The handsets look cheap beside this one.
The discussion is about hiring an employee, the salary package is beside the point.
