What are Nouns

Noun is the part of speech, which names a Person, Place or a Thing. It means the words, which are used to tell the name of a Person, Place or Thing are called Nouns.

Collective Nouns

Collective Nouns refer to the words used for a group of nouns. in other words, Collective Nouns refer to the single name given to many things of the same class.

Following are some examples of the Collective Nouns used for category of persons:

A class of students, An army of soldiers, A band of musicians, A team of players, A troupe of dancers, A staff of employees, A regiment of soldiers, A panel of experts, A board of directors,

Following are some examples of Collective Nouns used for category of Things:
